* C# and Java developers must download and install the Windows VC8 32- or 64-bit (nt_i386_vc80 or nt_x64_vc80) packages. Visual Basic developers must download the VC8 32-bit package.

ATTENTION UNIX & LINUX USERS - Remember to install the Common Files package first

* Unix users must install the Common Files package (including source, documentation, and development tree). Next, individual packages (platform-specific binaries and executables) can be downloaded for desired platforms and uncompressed from the same level. For instance:

Windows Platforms DIRECT3D USERS NOTE: This version of HOOPS/3dAF supports DirectX version 9.0c, build 4.09.0000.0904 (June 2007) or newer. Download the runtime update HERE MSVC8 USERS NOTE: On systems that do not have Visual C++ 2005 installed, applications created with Visual C++ 2005 may fail with an 'invalid configuration' message. On systems that DO have the MSVC8 runtime libraries installed, but that have not been UPGRADED TO MSVC8 Service Pack 1, applications will fail to load certain dlls, and may crash without displaying error messages. To fix these problems, users must install the Visual C++ 2005 SERVICE PACK 1 Redistributable Package.
