HOOPS/GM bridges exist for each of the Parasolid, ACIS and Granite modelling kernels, and provide a uniform API to each kernel from your HOOPS based application. Each bridge component hooks up to the facetter of the respective modelling kernel to extract the triangles, polylines and attributes from the kernel. This facetted information is stored in the HOOPS/3dGS scene-graph, and bi-directional associativity between the scene-graph and modelling kernel is maintained and accessed via the API.
The Parasolid Bridge is included with the HOOPS/3dAF installation.
The ACIS Bridge is developed, maintained and distrubuted by Spatial. Therefore, developers should contact Spatial for any support related issues on the ACIS Bridge.
The Granite Bridge is developed, enhanced and supported by TS3D, however the source and documentation is not included on our media as it is only available to Granite licensees. If you have a Granite Interoperability Kernel license and would like to use the HOOPS/Granite Bridge please contact TSA's Support Group via support@techsoft3d.com.
